What are you selling? What's your point? Bad ads. Better Ads.

I came across these two ads in the same magazine. one is bad and one is better.

Bad AD. 
Why. Fashion doesn't define who I am, Wear your face. What. It seems clever as a tag line, but it's actually pretty dumb. Why? It leaves me asking. Wear my face. Where is my face? Uh, its right here behind my eyes that are burning trying to figure out this mess. There is NO life in this tag line no matter how long you use it. Wear my face? Is that what this Braun razor does? It wears my face out? You are not my pal on this one.

 

Better Ad. 
At least these guys have tried to tell you something. Guys like that. It handles the curves of my face. It has this cool technology that makes it do that. It's better than the last thing they made. It is rational. And the cool lines webbing across the face looks like it reflects the complexity of the problem that Norelco is solving. You have my account!
